Southern States Thermo King is a dynamic young company dedicated to providing quality products and services for Refrigeration Road Transport, Transit Air-conditioning and Anteo Premium Aliminium Taillifts.
The legal status of the business is a Partnership. The company is owned and operated by two privately owned Family Trusts being the Partingtons and Taylors Family Trusts.
The company has been in operation since the 6th September 1993 taking over business from the previous Thermo King Dealer, Transpec. At that time we boasted a modest staff of nine comprising the two joint Directors Roger Partington and Cyril Taylor, a Receptionist, Parts Officer and Five Technicians.
SSTK first operated from rented premises in Fairbairn Road and then to another rented facility. Finally in 1998 we moved to a purpose built facility at 187-198 Fairbairn Road, Sunshine.
Our focus is to provide products and service for the Australian Transport Industry primarily in Refrigeration of Trailers and Trucks for long distance and distribution vehicles and Air-Conditioning on Buses and Coaches together with Light and Heavy Rail Application. Our equipment is employed for a diverse range of application from refrigerating blood @ -30Deg.C. to air-conditioning 100,000 day old chicks.
FACILITY:Our Facility houses 4 double drive through service bays with all the necessary tools of trade to perform repairs, maintenance and warranty in a professional and efficient manner.
Our workshop is stocked with support supplies enabling us to respond in an efficient and timely manner, especially in Emergency Breakdowns. We also repair and rebuild all Thermo King Compressors and Engines in dedicated rebuild rooms, perform electrical repairs, fabricate and machine components and cater for smash repairs and refurbishment of old equipment.
We operate a Fleet of Service Vehicles to support our products in the field. They are suitably stocked to perform both on site service and maintenance and operate on a 24 hour, 365 days roadside assistance basis supported by our Nation Wide 1800-800-532 after hours emergency number.
Our Spare Parts Warehouse stocks over $1,000,000 of genuine Thermo King Parts to support our workshop activities and our clients who prefer to maintain their own equipment. We have a network of Service Agents throughout Australia that support our products which are located in all major Regional Areas.
TRAINING:Our operation also boasts a full Training Facility for continued Technical Training and Updates which is available for both in-house and Customer/Agent Technicians which is supported by a dedicated Thermo King Trainer. We boast one of the highest number of Qualified Certi-Tech. Technicians in Australia.
SERVICE:We have a Professional Service Management Team headed by Eloise Pengelly and is ably supported by, Amber Partington and Amy Stone from our Refrigeration Division and Mick McKenzie from Transit. We operate long term service contracts which encompass full Service, Maintenance,Warranty and Extended Warranty Programs.
Our Contracts Division, headed by Amber Partington, tracks and records all Pre-trip, Service, Maintenance and Warranty on each individual unit. This information is documented and recorded for the life of the unit and will be available to clients via modum to our Computer System for their reference.
SALES:Our Sales & Marketing Division is headed by Wayne Taylor who is responsible for all products groups. He has a team of talented professionals; Jason Hooke - Thermo King, Terry Wilson - Thermo King and Anteo Tailgates, Jeff Aitken - Anteo and Amanda Goodrick - Sales Support who can offer professional advice and equipment recommendations. Their professional attitude and approach to business is the key to our success.
ADMINISTRATION:In May 1999 Glenn Gardiner (C.P.A.) was appointed as Commercial Manager of SSTK, the growth of the company necessitated the need to employ a professional to steamline our Accounting and Computer Systems. This task has now been completed and we now enjoy a reliable Administration Operation including; Kallie Galloway and Debbie Stone which allows us to seek additional expansion and opportunities with the confidence of or infrastructure to support any additional endeavours we take on.
PARTS:In early 2006, SSTK appointed new personnel to further expand and deliver premium support to our valued customers. Ours Parts Department is headed by Andrew Reardon and is ably supported by Matt Skirrey, Igor Taleski and Viki Dragarski.
